I take great care when I make gaiwans, which require extreme precision to ensure that each part fits with the others and that the object feels natural and comfortable to use. Although fired at high temperatures, vitrified and non-porous, it will take on a patina from tea tannins over time, testifying to its regular use.

Each piece bears the unique imprint that only wood firing can bring, making it a treasured item for any tea lover.
