Do you make special orders
For wholesales yes (orders over 700$), not for individual items at this moment. Due to my firing schedule (not during the winter) a wholesales order can take a few months.
I’d like to order something but it’s not in stock
Each piece is unique. If an item is sold out you can contact me and I will get back to you with my next kiln unloading/ store restock date.
Do you repair broken pottery
No.
What clay do you use
I use commercial porcelain and stoneware that are fired to maturity, which makes them vitrified and non-porous.
Are the glazes food safe
Yes, they are food safe,, stable and won't leach harmful chemicals because there are none in the glazes. All my work is high fired to cone 10 (2330 f.), which means that the clay is vitrified and non porous, porcelain and stoneware alike.
Is your pottery safe in the microwave, dishwasher and oven
Finished ceramics are microwave and dishwasher safe, but handwashing will maintain the glaze finish over time. Most ceramics typically don’t like thermal shock, so it is best to heat and cool slowly.
